dish washer blues

got the counter tops in and was hooking up the dish washer , water line was to short so making it longer was the way to go. off to true value i go . they don't have what i need. storm out , jump in truck, go to home depot.buy hose and two hose clamps. heading home big smile on face. i got this sucker licked now. got home put hose on fittings with clamp's so far so good. clean dish and cup and all is well. and then i hear this (S.O.B.) we got water all over the floor!!!!!! turn off water ,cuss stomp and throw thing's. made mad dash back to home depot buy little gasket for fitting, happy again. stopped at outback for late supper now real happy. go home go to bed. after coffee next morning, put gasket in fitting no more leaks , happy camper now. next comes sink drain, adventure starts all over again. new sink is deeper on one side than old sink so off to true value i go, half way their stopped at new store ,they don't have what i need. home depot is looking better all the time. true value it is. all i need is one hose two clamps and a goose neck. you would think that this would be easy. talk about the run around , got the clamps. had to dig through some old boxes for the goose neck, cause we don't have part's for manufactured homes, what a load of crap and other thing's. had to go to auto zone for a hose , they looked at me funnier when i told them what i wanted it for. We can't guarantee this hose if it's not installed on a car. now i am worried, shit i may have to go to counseling and pay a big fine to the gear head god's or some thing. pay attention to the detail dumb ass you can't work on the car in the kitchen. why you ask?? well i got the old kitchen all over my shop so it seems reasonable to me. got to stop here Big Brother is on. more later.

Question of the Day?

How many miles does it take to fix the sink?

I was always told that it took 5 trips to the hardware store to install something to do with plumbing. I think that applies to all home improvements - we will be on the roof this weekend. Anyone want to help?

So today we're at Mitch's moms housing putting in a new kitchen sink. I take mom to the store to get a new faucet and some plumbing parts. Get back to her house, new sink is in, faucet is in, new leak coming from something other than what Mitch was working on in. Hmm, call plumber on Monday mom this is past us. Oh yeah another run to Lowe's to get a stopper. harumphf
