Paper Requests

How many papers do you all want? The article (such that it is) should be out this time around, along with Show and Shine. We will get copies for all who request them.

Richard's hand is healing nicely, he removed his own stitches, thrilled the doc by doing that, and goes back to see him in 3 months. Hopefully it is healed entirely by then. Healing from the inside out.

Spoke to your mother this morning. She said she is down to 118 lbs. She says she eats, but we both wonder how much and how often. She said she eats chicken patties alot. Offered her some spagetti, but she said tomato sauce bothers her stomach with too much acid. We are going in later to give her the books that Royce left here and her heating pad.

IT'S HOTTT!!!!!!! 103 here yesterday, and didn't cool off until early this morning. We have only a few times that we couldn't open all the doors and windows for a little while each morning. Yesterday was one. This morning is iffy. Going to shut up the house soon and keep cool air in.

Dogs are having a hard time. Oscar is so stiff he hardly moves. Emmy can't breath. Little Man is so "stove up" he can't even lift his leg so pees on his front legs. Minnie and Lucy are doing okay. Little jealousy now and again, but tolerable. Lucy has a metal pin in her right front leg, so I try to keep her from jumping too much. Ha, like that really works. She loves to haul ass out the door to chase the cows across the street from our yard. She barks alot. We have the best fence post chasers in the neighborhood.

Smoking takes it's toll. Talked to Curly Reed a few days ago, he says the VA diagnosed him with emphysema. Says he expects to go on oxygen soon. He used to smoke that "horse tobacco" as a youth and moved to real live cigarettes in the Navy. Curly says that the stuff the "feds" burn now used to grow wild all around here and his father just about killed him for taking the "store made" cigs from him. That's why he used the home grown stuff.
