So........

I know you have all had time to read the e-mail and info from Sweden, so what is your feelings on this situation? We e-mailed Anders, and he replied. Very short. Hope we didn't piss him off.

We were playing around with the info and we constructed a family tree of sorts. A page for the American side of Per (great grandfather) and one for the Swedish side. It took some deciphering, but it was interesting to see how it all played out. And Yes, Birgitta seems to be Shorty's and Paul's cousin. I believe she is Ander's mother. Per started a whole new family when he returned to Sweden. He was 58 years old when Folke (last son) was born. Sending another e-mail to Anders to give him some info, and ask if he knows the ship Per came over on. The Ellis Island info can be daunting to look thru, but we found some names and dates that might match with some spelling changes.

More later.

Letter from Sweden update

We got the letter from Sweden copied and it is on it's way to (we hope) all who asked. If you didn't get an e-mail from one of us, and you want a copy of the letter, just contact us and leave an address (electronic or otherwise) and we will send it post haste.

I have been on Ellis Island site looking up names, dates, etc. So far, unable to find anything linking to anyone. We sent Ander a copy of our reunion paper, so maybe we will be able to find out more later.

If you look quickly at the photo sent, it looks a lot like Jim. Personal observation.

TOO WEIRD

Phone Rings i answer , Feller says his name is Ander From Sweden, asks if this is Richard son of Rolph who's father and three brothers came to USA. Now understand this feller is hard to understand cause of the heavy accent. So I listen carefully as this interest's me very much. He tells me that when Gran dad's Father went back to Sweden he remarries and has four more sons, and that Grandad had a fourth brother that was killed in a plane crash in England in WWI. We talked for about 30 min. I have an e-mail address and phone number and neither one works. I sent several test e-mails all came back, called Quest and had them try the number no go. So I'm thinking scam. I did ask how he found me, he said he call some women here in Emmett, so I called Sherri and he had called her first, she told him to call me. This guy new a little about our history but it seemed just a bit off.I don't have caller ID, but Sherri's shows a 670 area code with the number blocked. I'm going to Waite and see if he calls back I have more gestation's. I hope this is not a set up. Stay tuned !!

Mission Completed !

The power's out of Mom's name, the phone is history, the place is empty all the pieces distributed and scattered across the country. Mom's apartment is no more. Turned in the keys to Gary this morning and got a check out sheet with everything listed. By law they have to have the carpet cleaned commercially. Should get all but 72.00 dollars on the cleaning deposit and all the rent for January. I like good news, makes my day. Thank you all for helping get this done in a timely manner. Last but not least, the mailing address has been changed. For those of you that have Christmas checks from Mom that you haven't cashed, I'm not sure if they would go through, the bank will not tell me any thing, till I have the right paper work. We don't need any unnecessary charges. Who ever got the Cuisinart raise your hand, you left some parts here, you will be getting a visit from the Brown Truck. Sure glad that is all done.
